The cooperation with the project Autogestion de l’eau potable et assainissement en milieu rural dans quatre provinces du Burkina » (9ACP CR) has resulted in the sharing of very relevant information for the WASHCost research and the establishment of further linkages in the WASH sector.
« Autogestion de l’eau potable et assainissement en milieu rural dans quatre provinces du Burkina » was a three-year water management project funded by the EU Water Facility which took place in four provinces of Burkina Faso and officially ended on July 14th.The objective of the project was to enhance the access to sustainable water, hygiene and sanitation services.
The 9ACP CR project team hosted an assessment meeting on June 18th, in which Zakari Bouraima, WASHCost Burkina Faso Country Governance specialist, took part. This meeting was an opportunity for him to share information on WASHCost. During the discussion, M. Bouraima also met some local elected leaders and partners (including the 9ACP CR project coordinator and one of the Programme Regional Solaire (PRS) who guaranteed their support to the WASHCost data collection process in the country. WASHCost has been promised the documents generated by the 9ACP CR project. The country coordinator of PRS project received Zakari a few days after the meeting to entrust him with some secondary cost data to fuel the WASHCost research. These kinds of opportunities allow WASHCost to gain more visibility and to broaden its relationships in the WASH sector.
