Burkina Faso
One of the African countries where the WASHCost project is being implemented is Burkina Faso. The JMP data for Burkina Faso (dating from 2006) indicate a coverage of 61% for water supply and 13% for sanitation against the targets of respectively 83% and 53%.
The lead partner and host in Burkina Faso is CREPA (Centre Régional pour l'Eau Potable et l'Assainissment à faible coût).
Burkina Faso and Ghana to cooperate on developing research methodology
Burkina Faso and Ghana, neighbouring countries in the WASHCost project have pledged to work more closely together on developing methodologies to tease out some of the vital research issues they are investigating.
