The advantage of learning alliances

Why is WASHCost working with learning alliances?
Traditional research projects produce knowledge/innovations that are not taken up by practitioners. So learning alliances make sure that all stakeholders jointly identify research topics which are a priority in their own context. Practitioners and researchers work together on the understanding and solving of problems (common objectives). With the help of process documentation processes are written down to understand how problems were solved rather than only knowing the final result. Communication is an essential part of the entire process of taking part in the research and implementation of the research results.
